...Kazuhiro Wada hit a home run off Kenta Maeda in the 5th inning and now has the most opening day home runs amongst active players.

...As scheduled, Kanako Murakami threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

...Hiromitsu Ochiai told reporters on Thursday that he has never looked at a schedule to see which games he could possibly win and which games would be ok to lose.  He also said that his ideal set up would be 15 players on the roster: 8 position players, 6 starters, and 1 closer.

Incidentally, Ochiai ended up talking to reporters for about 2 hours.

...Wei-Ying Chen and Kazuki Yoshimi played some catch and did some running during practice on the Thursday.

...It seems Junki Ito is also a possible candidate to start the opening day game.

...Kazuhiro Wada has five opening day home runs.  That's good for a first place tie (with Yoshinobu Takahashi) amongst active players.  Two of those five came last year.

...The fan suggestion box for potential fan-related events that Masahiko Morino suggested has been installed near Gate 1 at Nagoya Dome.  The suggestion box will be open through the first 5 innings.

...The first 1,500 customers that make a purchase of over 2,000 yen at the Dragons Shop near Nagoya Dome (beginning 3/26 at 10am) will receive a free autograph board with signatures (reprints) from the three Dragons' mascots: Shaolon, Paolon, and Doala.

...Ticket prices for a game that will be played at Nagaragawa Baseball Stadium (7/13 vs Yakult Swallows) have been posted at the official Dragons' site.  Ticket prices for their game at Hamamatsu Baseball Stadium (6/22 vs Yokohama Bay Stars) have also been posted.
