...When asked if he would continue using Kazuo Fukumori in save situations, Marty Brown told reporters he needed to sleep on it.

=== 8:54pm JST

...It's still early but...  Kazuo Fukumori blew the Eagles chance at winning their home opener on Saturday when he self-destructed in the top of the 9th and allowed 3 runs to score.  The Eagles have now lost four games in a row, two of which belong to Fukumori.

Fukumori's final line: 0.1 IP, 5 BF, 16 NP, 4 H, 0 SO, 0 BB, 3 R, 3 ER.

...Hisashi Iwakuma held the Seibu Lions to just 1 hit (and 2 walks) over his first 5 innings on Saturday.  In his 6th inning of work, he gave up a lead-off double to Yasuyuki Kataoka and then retired the next two batters.  But then he walked Takeya Nakamura and then gave up a 3-run shot to Dee Brown.

Iwakuma's final line: 7 IP, 29 BF, 128 NP, 4 H, 7 SO, 3 BB, 3 R, 3 ER.

...Advance tickets to Sunday's game are still available and can be purchased at 7-11.  Same day tickets will be available for purchase at Kleenex Stadiums' ticket window beginning at 10am.

    Fukumori’s exposure continues where it left off at the end of last season. It’s like BP out there.

    It’s freaking freezing cold up here, going to watch the game on TV from my sofa instead.

      Until Morillo comes around, Brown will probably keep trotting Fukumori out there. Unless there’s someone better, but I’m not sure that there’s a better option in the pen right now.
