...Keisaku Itokazu will likely get the start on Tuesday against the Orix Buffaloes.

...Makoto Kaneko was checked out at a hospital (got an MRI) on Monday and was diagnosed with a light bruise on his left oblique muscle.  It'll likely take 10 days to 2 weeks for a full recovery.  Kaneko will now report to Ni-gun and will work towards getting better.

...It seems the Fighters will try to keep Hisashi Takeda's workload as light as possible while he works through his kinks.  Masataka Nashida told reporters he felt Takeda wasn't using his lower body properly while Takeda himself said that he wasn't getting the same kind of movement / power behind the ball as he was getting last season.

...The Fighters held their 2nd Fighters' Knowledge Certification test on Sunday at eight locations in Hokkaido.  547 people showed up to take the test, 80 of which were elementary school kids.  There were 100 questions in all, covering various aspects of the Fighters (from club history to individual player information).
