...From Tuesday's game against the Hiroshima Carp:

...Tomoaki Kanemoto went 1-for-5 with an RBI: foul out to catcher, ground out to pitcher, double, strikeout, ground out to first.  Kanemoto now has 2 hits over his last 18 plate appearances and recorded his first run-scoring hit of the year (his other RBI scored on a sac fly).

...The two foreign players (Matt Murton and Craig Brazell) in the line-up had a big nights, going a combined 7-for-10 with 3 homers, 5 runs, and 3 RBI.  The three outs they made were on strikeouts.  And the two homers Brazell hit were in back-to-back at bats (2nd and 3rd inning).

...Rookie Shunsuke Fujikawa struck out in his first official at bat.

...Kyuji Fujikawa picked up a save and now only needs two more to tie Kazuyuki Yamamoto's franchise record of 130 saves with the Tigers.

Fujikawa's final line: 1 IP, 3 BF, 14 NP, 0 H, 2 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.

...Atsushi Nomi managed to hold the Hiroshima Carp to just 3 runs (2 earned) on 8 hits over 7 innings of work.

Nomi's final line: 7 IP, 30 BF, 111 NP, 8 H, 6 SO, 0 BB, 2 HBP, 3 R, 2 ER.

...Kenji Johjima gunned out Soichiro Amaya trying to steal second in the 7th.

...A little more on Casey Fossum's outing on Tuesday: 5 IP, 22 BF, 4 H, 2 BB, 1 HBP, 1 SO, 0 ER.  Fossum will likely pitch at least one more game at Ni-gun before the Tigers give him another try at Ichi-gun.

...Kenichi Tagami went 2-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base, and an RBI in his first game since being re-signed to a regular contract.
