...From Sunday's game against the Seibu Lions:

...The Fighters lost the game, 4-0.

...The offense managed to collect 7 hits and even had three innings where they banged out two hits, but could not deliver the decisive blow against Kazuyuki Hoashi.

In the fourth, with runners on first and third and 1 out, Shinji Takahashi hit into a 6-4-3 double play.

In the sixth, Shota Ono and Kensuke Tanaka led off the inning with consecutive singles.  And a walk loaded the bases with two outs.  But neither Dai-Kang Yang (Yoh), Atsunori Inaba, nor Eiichi Koyano could push any of the runners home.

In the ninth, with runners on first and second and 2 out, Yoshio Itoi fouled out to third to end the game.

...The Fighters also became the first team since 1962 to hit into two double plays in one inning.  Or rather, one potential double play and one real double play in one inning.

In the fourth, with a runner on first and no out, Yang (Yoh) hit a grounder to second that should have been a double play, except Takeya Nakamura dropped the ball at first. The second double play came after Atsunori Inaba hit a single into center to put runners on first and third with 1 out and is listed in the previous section.

...Masaru Takeda gave up 4 runs (all earned) over 5 innings of work.  Of the six hits Takeda surrendered, five went for extra bases (three doubles and two home runs).

Final line: 5 IP, 23 BF, 85 NP, 6 H, 2 SO, 2 BB, 4 R, 4 ER.

...It seems Yuya Ishii won't see any playing time at Ichi-gun until later this month (mid-April).

...During the Family Series (4/27 - 5/2) fans will have a chance to win Field Seats by taking part in a QR Stamp Rally (QRスタンプラリー).  And during the final game of the Family Series (5/2), kids that are in elementary school or lower will have a chance to run the bases on the field after the game (キッズ全員ベーラン).
