...From Tuesday's game against the Yakult Swallows:

...The Carp managed to snap their 7-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Yakult Swallows.

...Justin Huber hit his first home run in a Carp uniform in the 2nd inning off Masato Nakazawa.

Final line: 1-for-4, R, RBI -> home run, double play, strike out, fly out to short.

...With the score tied at 2, Eishin Soyogi led off the 8th with a walk, stole second, and came around to score on Soichiro Amaya's single to center.

Amaya also made a nice diving catch in center in the fourth inning that likely prevented the Swallows from tying the game at three (Norichika Aoki was on second at the time).

Soyogi's final line: 2-for-2, 2 R -> single to left, walk, double to left, walk (SB).

Amaya's final line: 2-for-4, RBI -> fly out to left, fly out to center, single to left, single to center.

...Takahiro Aoki started the game and held the Swallows offense to just one just one run over 6 innings of work.

Final line: 6 IP, 21 BF, 99 NP, 5 H, 3 SO, 0 BB, 1 R, 1 ER.

...Ken Takahashi almost let the game slip away in the 8th when he gave up a 1-out double to pinch-hitter Kazuhiro Hatakeyama, but bore down and kept Hatakeyama from scoring despite things escalating to a first and third, 2 out situation.

...Eric Stults is set to arrive in Japan on Wednesday.  Since the Carp need pitching right now, it's likely either Justin Huber (6-for-29, .207/.233/.276) or Jeff Fiorentino (4-for-24, .167/.310/.292) will be demoted to Ni-gun to make room for him.

...Team owner Hajime Matsuda didn't appear too concerned about the team's current 7-game losing streak when speaking to reporters on Monday.  Seems he thinks the team is still going through some growing pains.
