Nigawa Gakuin High School announced on Tuesday that former Buffalo Yu Sugimoto will become their new manager this month.  Sugimoto passed the standard checks the Japan Student Baseball Association makes for any former pro players that want to become a manager.

The 16 teams for the 126th Spring Kyushu High School Tournament (4/24 - 4/29) have been decided.  Brackets for the tournament will be determined on the 15th.

The Japan Student Baseball Association met on Wednesday and selected five members (including Masayuki Naito) for their subcommittee that will be handling negotiations with pro players / teams.  The negotiations will include things like practice game schedules, game rules, and guidelines / requirements for former pro players that want to manage / coach high school or college teams.
