...Jason Standridge played some catch and did some running at Naruohama on Sunday.

...Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi's victory on Sunday gives him at least 1 win in 18 straight seasons.

...Kenji Johjima's grand slam on Saturday was the 7th of his career (MLB + NPB).

...Masanori Fujihara is making his way back from a bruised left adductor muscle.  On Saturday, he tossed 27 pitches to Yuhei Kai and allowed 7 could-be hits.  It was his first day of pitching to live batters.

...Hirotaka Egusa was demoted on Friday.  On Saturday, he threw 50 pitches in the bullpen.  He'll officially join the Ni-gun roster from the 13th.

...Keisuke Kano was in the starting line-up as a catcher during a Ni-gun game against Chunichi on Saturday.  In the 8th, he was shifted over to right, but did not have any fielding opportunities.  Kano stayed back after the game and worked out with Ni-gun battery coach Munehiko Shimada.  It seems the only reason why he played right during the game was to give him as many chances at the plate as possible.

...Tomoaki Kanemoto played in his 1,015th consecutive game (as a Tiger) on Saturday, setting a new franchise record.  And he with the help of instant replay, he recorded his 445th career home run on Sunday, putting him above Shigeo Nagashima's 444.
