...Munenori Kawasaki scored his 500th run on Saturday against the Nippon Ham Fighters.

...Koji Akiyama told reporters on Monday of his plan Yuichi Honda to rest / bench Honda at some point during their three game series against the Orix Buffaloes.  Kenji Akashi (vs right-handed pitching) or Satoru Morimoto (left-handed pitching) would likely get the start.

...Sadaharu Oh told reporters on Monday that Michael Olmsted and J.D. Durbin are not considered immediate impact players (should the team decide to sign one or both).

...In connection to the Sadaharu Oh Baseball Museum, the Hawks are thinking about adding ramen to their menu at Yahoo Dome.   Specifically ramen from Gojuban, a Chinese food restaurant Oh's father used to run.  The Hawks say they're about 70% sure they'll be able to bring the famous ramen noodle to Yahoo Dome.
