...Tetsuya Yamaguchi will be back in the bullpen and ready to pitch beginning on Wednesday.

...Yoshiyuki Kamei finally hit his first home run of the year in his 44th trip to the plate (Tuesday night vs the Hanshin Tigers).

...For the first time since 1976, the Giants ended up losing a game (against the Tigers) in which they had a 6 or more run lead (in 1976, the Giants held a 6-0 lead against the Tigers and ended up losing 8-7).

The last time they lost a game in which they held a 6-run lead with teams other than the Tigers: on 7/1/2007, the Giants held a 6-0 lead over the Yokohama Bay Stars and ended up losing 9-8.

And the last time the Giants gave up 5 home runs in one game: 8/6/2005 vs the Yakult Swallows.  To a Hanshin team: 8/8/2004.  The Giants have now given up an NPB high 19 home runs (the Bay Stars are in second place with 18).
