Games from the 14th:
Angels 5 - Yankees 3
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fourth. He went 0-for-4 with a walk: fly out to left, strikeout, strikeout, walk, strikeout. Matsui does not have a hit since his walk-off hit on the 10th.
Red Sox 6 - Twins 3
Hideki Okajima entered the game in the 7th with the Red Sox up, 3-2, and runners on first and second and two out. He tossed 0.1 innings and faced two batters, intentionally walking the first (Joe Mauer) after a passed ball allowed runners to advance to second and third..
Braves 6 - Padres 1
Takashi Saito entered the game in the 8th and did not give up any runs. He faced four batters and gave up one hit and struck out two.
Cardinals 2 - Astros 1
Kazuo Matsui started at second and batted second. He went 0-for-4: ground out to first, ground out to first, ground out to short, ground out to short. Matsui was taken out of the line-up in the 8th on defense.
Koji Uehara posted on his personal blog that he held his second bullpen session since hurting his left hamstring and that he was at about 70%. He also mentioned that at this point, he's feeling a lot of anxiety about re-injuring himself.
There was a suicide at Le Parker Meridien (a 39 year-old-man jumped out of the 42nd floor and landed on the road in front of the building) on the 13th, the hotel where the Angels are staying. Matsui was able to avoid the nastiness since he has his own apartment in Manhattan. But a few of the players apparently saw the aftermath.
