...Shuichi Murata appears to be coming around.  He went 3-for-5 on Wednesday night and now has 6 hits over his last 14 plate appearances.  Prior to that, he had been hitless in his last 21 trips to the plate.

...Takao Obana had 5 left-handed hitters in the line-up on Wednesday against left-handed pitcher, Takashi Ogasawara.  Obana told reporters that he checked the numbers and found that lefties had a harder time throwing their sinkers to left-handed batters.  He also mentioned to Sponichi that the fact Takashi Ogaswara doesn't throw a change could be a help to the left-handed hitters as well.

...Shintaro Ejiri has appeared in 6 games since the Bay Stars acquired him in a trade with the Nippon Ham Fighters.  He has yet to surrender any runs and has limited the opposition to just 2 hits (28 BF).
