Games from the 17th:

Mariners 4 - Tigers 2
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 3-for-3: double to right and stolen base, triple to right-center, single to center, walk.

Angels 6 - Blue Jays 3
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fourth.  He went 1-for-4 with an RBI: fly out to third, RBI double to center, ground out to first, strikeout.

Astros 4 - Cubs 3
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted second.  He went 1-for-5: ground out to pitcher, fly out to third, strikeout, single to center, strikeout.

Rockies 4 - Braves 0
Kenshin Kawakami started the game and tossed 5 innings while giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts.  He took the loss, his second of the season.

Kawakami's opponent, Ubaldo Jimenez, tossed a no-no.

Pirates 5 - Reds 4
Akinori Iwamura started at second and batted first.  He went 0-for-4: fly out to center, fly out to right, strikeout, strikeout.

Mets 2 - Cardinals 1
Both Ryota Igarashi and Hisanori Takahashi had a chance to pitch in the 20-inning (!) game.

Igarashi entered the game in the 8th: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 SO, 0 R, 0 ER
Takahashi entered the game in the 13th: 2 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 4 SO, 0 R, 0 ER


Ryohei Tanaka started a AA game on the 16th and went 6 innings while giving up 2 runs (both earned) on 5 hits, a walk, and 2 strikeouts.  He did not factor into the decision.


Looks like Daisuke Matsuzaka will be back in the Majors after minor league start on the 21st.


Kazuo Matsui has not played in two straight games.
