...13-11-0 (third place): The Hawks had a good week, taking both a three game series against the Orix Buffaloes (2-1) and a thee games series against the Rakuten Eagles (2-1).  And they capped off their week in dramatic fashion with a walk-off win (Nobuhiro Matsuda's first walk-off hit in his career) in their final game against the Eagles on Sunday.  Toshiya Sugiuchi and Tsuyoshi Wada continue to impress, as the two combined for 2 wins while giving up just 2 runs over 16 innings and striking out 14.

The Hawks also held tryouts for J.D. Durbin and Michael Olmsted on Sunday after their game.

...Munenori Kawasaki continues to swing a hot bat -- he went 9-for-26 (.346) with 5 runs scored.  Kawasaki is also in the middle of a 18 game hitting streak  Jose Ortiz also had a productive week, driving in 8 RBIs and increasing his seasonal totals to 23 RBIs in 24 games.  His 23 RBIs paces the Pacific League.

...Hideaki Takahashi will likely make a start on the 21st against the Seibu Lions and joined the Ichi-gun team on Monday.  He has yet to be promoted to the active roster.
