Seibu Lions: April 20, 2010

by on Apr.20, 2010 @ 3:57 pm, under NPB

...It seems Kimiyasu Kudo likely won't be available until some time in June (he's had a few setbacks with tightness in his lower body).  And while there still isn't a set schedule for Alex Graman's return, it seems the Lions are looking at mid-May date.  As of now, Graman has tossed Ni-gun BP a number of times.

...Hideaki Wakui goes for his fourth win of the season on Tuesday against the Softbank Hawks.  Wakui is currently a four-pitch pitcher (fastball, curve, change, slider) and has been working on two additional pitches (fork and shuto).

...G.G. Sato was demoted on Monday because he hasn't been swinging the bat very well this season: in 22 games, .198 / .244 / .370 with 4 HR and 8 RBI.  The team is concerned that his move from right to left field may be causing some of his problems with the bat.

...The Lions have posted a schedule for when they'll be uploading videos for fan-related events they held between 4/13 and 4/18.

2010 Draft

...It seems Masaki Minami (Rissho University) is a first round draft pick candidate for the Lions.  Minami is a right-handed pitcher that throws a fastball that tops out at 151km/h.
