Yomiuri Giants: April 20, 2010

...Shugo Fujii will be going for his first victory in his fourth start of the year.  Fujii is far from what the Giants were expecting him to be, so far giving up 11 runs (10 earned) on 16 hits (including 5 homers) and 4 walks over 17.2 innings of work.

...Yoshiyuki Kamei spent about an hour working on his hitting during his day off on Monday.  Kamei went 4-for-16 this past week, including an 0-for-4 on Sunday against the Yakult Swallows.

...It seems Seth Greisinger could be returning to the rotation some time during Inter-league play.  Greisinger began a throwing program on the 12th and could return to Japan in mid-May if he doesn't experience any setbacks with pain.

...Hayato Sakamoto is currently the only player on the Giants that has managed to play in every inning of every game since 10/10/2009 (a period of 22 games).  With a hit on Tuesday, Sakamoto could become the youngest player in franchise history with a 20-game hitting streak.

...Wirfin Obispo could get a call-up some time this month.  The Giants play 6 games this week and then play 9 straight the following week.  Obispo could be called up at some point during that 9-game stretch.

...The Giants team did their traveling (between Matsuyama, Ehime and Itami, Hyogo) on two separate 74-seat prop plane flights.  The Giants are playing the Yokohama Bay Stars at Kyocera Dome on Tuesday.
