...Masato Akamatsu batted out of the 5 hole for the first time in his pro career on Tuesday and went 0-for-4: fly out to left, fly out to right, fly out to right, fly out to left.

...Kenjiro Nomura was apparently quite displeased with the way things played out in the 4th on Tuesday night when Keisuke Kano hit a 3-run homer of Yuki Saito.  Seems he couldn't understand what was going through Saito's mind after he walked Craig Brazell with a runner on third and 2 out (no score).  Nomura's thinking: why pitch to Brazell carefully when the worse he could have done, at the time, was hit a 2-run homer.  Nomura added that the walk to Brazell gave him a bad feeling that something worse was about to happen.  And it did, as it led to an RBI single by Kodai Sakurai and a 3-run slam by Kano.
