Games from the 21st:

Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fourth.  He went 0-for-3: walk, fly out to center, foul out to catcher, fly out to center.

Mariners 4 - Orioles 1
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 0-for-3: line out to first, fly out to left, intentional walk, ground out to first.

Red Sox 8 - Rangers 7
Hideki Okajima entered the game in the top of the 12th and tossed a perfect inning of relief.  He also struck out two and recorded his second victory of the year.

Brewers 8 - Padres 0
Akinori Iwamura started at second and batted first.  He went 0-for-3: strikeout, strikeout, fly out to left, flyout to left.

Astros 5 - Marlins 4
Kazuo Matsui started at second and batted 7th.  He went 1-for-3: ground out to short, ground out to the pitcher, infield single.

Cubs 9 - Mets 3
Hisanori Takahashi entered the game in the 8th and gave up 3 runs over 2 innings of work -- Takahashi retired the side in order in the 8th and then allowed all three runs to score in the 9th.  Seems the crowd even booed during his 9th inning meltdown.  Final line: 2 IP, 11 BF, 2 H, 3 BB (one intentional), 1 SO, 3 ER.

Kosuke Fukudome entered the game in the 8th on defense for the Cubs but never got a chance to hit.

Dodgers 14 - Reds 6
Hiroki Kuroda started the game and went 5.2 innings while giving up 6 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits, 2 walks, and 4 strike outs.  Kuroda picked up his second win of the year.

Phillies 2 - Braves 0
Takashi Saito entered the game in the 9th, with the Braves down by 2, and tossed one shutout inning in relief while giving up 1 hit and striking out 1.

Ryota Igarashi is heading to the 15-day DL -- he was diagnosed with a tear in his left hamstring.  He told reporters at a press conference that the injury ended up being a lot worse than he originally thought and that he was really disappointed in how things have turned out.

Other things he mentioned: the injury is in a different location than when he injured his hamstring two years before; that he is having a tough time walking, and that it might take some time before he's ready to start throwing again.

Daisuke Matsuzaka started a AAA Pawtucket game on the 21st and gave up 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits (including a home run) over 5.2 innings of work.  He did not walk a batter and struck out 8.

Kei Igawa started a AAA Scranton game on the 21st and gave up 2 runs (both earned) on 6 hits (including a home run) and a walk over 3.1 innings of work.  He also struck out one batter.
