Notes

The Buffaloes have won two games in a row against the Lions. ... Kaneko (ORI) recorded his second complete game of the year (both shutouts).  He also struck out at least one batter in every inning. ... D. Maeda (ORI) not only hit his first grand slam of his career, but he also his first home run since 6/17/2008.  The  grand slam also means Maeda will get the Grand Slam Award (an award that got its start last year and includes a cash prize of 1M yen for any batter that hits a grand slam at Kyocera Dome). ... Nakamura (SEI) committed his 6th error of the year.  He had 15 all of last season (128 games).
