Daisuke Matsuzaka is scheduled to toss a simulated game on the 26th before his first MLB start against the Baltimore Orioles on 5/1.

Koji Uehara could be making a return to the Majors some time during the first half of May.  Uehara has already tossed an inning (13 pitches) during a practice game on the 22nd and was set to pitch again on the 24th.  That could put him in line for some minor league outings during the coming week.

Toshihisa Nishi started at second and batted 9th on the 23rd against the Long Island Ducks.  He went 0-for-3 as the Lancanster Barnstormers went on to beat the Ducks, 9-4.
