by on Apr.26, 2010 @ 9:17 pm, under NPB

The Japan Pro Baseball Players Association (JPBPA) published the results of their annual salaries reports.

The average salary for all players (742) is 38.3M yen (up 1% from last year)

The average salary for players on the active roster (288) is 69.48M yen (up 3.7%).

The average salary for players not on the active roster (454) is 18.52M yen (down 5.2%).

There were a total 74 players (36 CL, 38 PL) with a salary over 100M yen.  The Chiba Lotte Marines led all teams with 10 of them.  It also seems that the average salary for players 36 and older also happened to be over 100M yen.
