The Pacific League averaged 20,218 per game during the first full go around (playing both a series at home and on the road vs each of the five teams in the league), a drop of 9.6% from 2009. However, that may have to do with the fact that Golden Week was part of the first full go around last season.
Amongst the teams that saw attendance increases were the Rakuten Eagles (+12.6%) and the Chiba Lotte Marines (2.2%). The rest of the teams in the PL saw decreases: Orix Buffaloes (-24.6%), Seibu Lions (-19.4%), Softbank Hawks (-10.4%), and the Nippon Ham Fighters (-9.9%).
The average time it took for a regulation 9-inning game was 3 hours and 10 minutes (down 4 minutes from last year).
