...11-14-1 (4th place): The Swallows didn't have a very good week, going 1-4-1.  Hiroyasu Tanaka had a strong showing at the plate, going 8-for-24 (.333).  Aaron Guiel had 3 home runs and Ryosuke Morioke drove in 4 runs.  The big problem for the Swallows has been their lack of offense.

Three key players from the last 6 games:

Norichika Aoki: 6-for-26 (.231) with 4 strikeouts
Aaron Guiel: 5-for-22 (.227) with 5 strikeouts
Jamie D'Antona: 3-for-22 (.136) with 11 strikeouts

Of their four losses this past week, two were lost by a run and two were lost by two runs.  And the only game in which they managed to score more than three runs, ended up in the W column.  The only game in which four runs wouldn't have won any of the four losses was the game they dropped to the Yokohama Bay Stars on Sunday, 5-3; the other three losses would have ended up as victories had the Swallows scored four.

Upcoming schedule: the Swallows begin a 9-game stretch on Tuesday.  They will be play three against Hanshin (at Jingu), three against Yokohama (at Jingu), and three against Yomiuri (at Tokyo Dome).
