...Hiromichi Fujiwara worked on his pitching mechanics on Monday. Fujiwara has made three starts so far this year and has given up 16 runs (12 earned) in his last two. His next start will likely be on the 28th against the Softbank Hawks (11 days in-between starts).
...The bullpen has been a sore spot for the Eagles since the start of the season, although as of late, it appears three pitchers have stepped up with some big innings: Shinichiro Koyama (righty), Wataru Karashima (lefty), and Tsuyoshi Kawagishi (closer). Assuming those three continue to perform down the stretch, that should cut the starters a little slack -- the Eagles lead the league in complete games with 9. If not, Marty Brown will have to continue stretching the starters out for as long as possible.
...It seems the Eagles will keep their "Hisahi Iwakuma on Saturday and Masahiro Tanaka on Sunday" rotation setup through to Inter-league play. As for their potential rotation during their upcoming 9-game stretch, it seems they'll stick with a base 5-man rotation of Satoshi Nagai, Fujiwara, Darrell Rasner, Iwakuma, and Tanaka; for their 6th pitcher, they'll simply pick one of the other pitchers on the staff.
...Even though Kenji Tomura was taken off the active roster on the 22nd, he'll be traveling with the team on their 3-game road trip against the Softbank Hawks that begins on Tuesday.
