...Yoshinobu Takahashi was held out of the starting line-up on Thursday due to acute gastroenteritis. He received treatment at a hospital on Wednesday night and is spending the day at the team hotel.

...Yoshiyuki Kamei hurt his left elbow while sliding into home plate in the 5th inning. He wasn't taken out of the game immediately (he played until his at bat came around in the 7th), but was taken to the hospital as soon as he was removed from the game. It seems there's a chance Kamei could be taken off the active roster. Ni-gun players Kenji Yano and Takahito Kudo are traveling to Nagoya today in case they're needed.

...Tetsuya Utsumi did various exercises (like running and play catch) at Giants Stadium in Kawasaki on Wednesday. Utsumi told reporters he felt good and even threw the ball with a little authority during his game of catch. He is set to toss a bullpen today.
