Hideki Matsui's book Shinen-wo Tsuranuku (信念を貫く) sold 78,000 copies in one month after hitting bookstore shelves on 3/17.  While the number may not seem overly impressive, it actually is -- books that sell over 50,000 copies in its first month are considered hits.  And it seems the popularity of the book could lead to it heading over to the US.
