Games from the 4th:

Red Sox 5 - Angels 1
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted 5th.  He went 0-for-4: strikeout swinging, ground out to the pitcher, ground out to second, strikeout looking.  Matsui is still one RBI away from 1,500.

Rays 5 - Marines 2
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 2-for-4: single to left, ground out to second, infield single, strikeout swinging.

Pirates 3 - Cubs 2
Akinori Iwamura started at second and batted first.  He went 0-for-4: ground out to first, ground out to second, ground out to second, strikeout swinging.

Kosuke Fukudome entered the game in the 8th as a pinch-hitter for the pitcher and grounded out to the pitcher. He did not stay in the game after that.

Diamondbacks 1 - Astros 0
Kazuo Matsui entered the game as a pinch-hitter for the pitcher in the 7th and hit a single to center.  He did not stay in the game after that.

Nationals 6 - Braves 3
Kenshin Kawakami started the game and gave up 3 runs over 5 innings.  He took the loss and is now 0-5 on the year.  Final line: 5 IP, 21 BF, 7 H, 1 SO, 0 BB, 3 ER.

Hiroki Kuroda tossed 36 pitches in the bullpen on the 4th and is set to start a game against the Rockies on the 7th.  Kuroda had his foot stepped on during a play at first base on the 2nd and told reporters on the 4th that he still felt some discomfort in the area (but not any real pain).

Daisuke Matsuzaka tossed 75 pitches in the bullpen on the 3rd.  His next start will be on the 6th against the Angels.
