...Keiji Uezono will get the start today against the Chunichi Dragons.  He's making this start on 11 days of rest.

...Andy Yuya tossed 73 pitches (all fastballs) in the bullpen on Tuesday.  There's a chance he might pitch during a three-game Ni-gun series against Chunichi that begins on Friday (5/7).

...It appears the Tigers won't be making any immediate moves to bolster their starting rotation despite losing Atsushi Nomi.  Said a club rep, "We won't be going after any foreigner pitchers.  A trade is a possibility, but only if there's a good deal...  Fortunately, we're heading into Inter-league play.  Hopefully other pitchers like Kazuhito Futagami can pick up the slack."

...Speaking of Nomi, he showed up at Naruohama on Tuesday with a cast on his right foot and crutches.  He spent about 4.5 hours at the training facilities, getting various treatment that included icing and oil massage.  Nomi will get together with the team doctor later this week to determine his rehab schedule moving forward.
