...Kimiyasu Kudo celebrated his 47th birthday on Tuesday.  The media presented the veteran with a birhtday cake.

...Takayuki Kishi is currently 0-5 in days games and 12-0 during night games.

...While Yusei Kikuchi's Ni-gun victory on Tuesday wasn't dominating, Hisanobu Watanabe called it a step forward.  "I'm happy [for him].  Congrats [to him].  He only walked one batter and it seems like everything is coming together.  I'm sure he was feeling a little confused / frustrated from the lack of results.  But this is a step forward," said Watanabe.

Kikuchi tossed a total 69 pitches in front of 7,423 fans.  His parents and a former teammate were also in the stands.

His current training includes 8-10km of running a day (more than twice what others players are doing), and weight training (split into three sections: upper body, lower body, arms).
