...The last time two Tigers hit grand slams in one game was when Tsuyoshi Shinjo and Kazuhiko Shiotani did it back in 1996.

...Akihiro Yano collected his first RBI of the year on Friday night.  That's not too much of surprise though: it was also only his 8th plate appearance of the year, scattered over 8 games (none as a starter).

...The Tigers gave Kyuji Fujikawa some work on Friday night (1 IP, 10 NP, 3 BF, 1 SO, 0 H, 0 ER) to keep him sharp -- his last outing was back on 5/2 against the Yomiuri Giants.

...Matt Murton nailed a grand slam last night.  Turned out to be a nice present for his wife's 26th birthday (before leaving the house, Murton's wife Stephanie apparently asked him to his a homer for her).

...Tomoaki Kanemoto took his glove and joined team trainer Taizo Tsunekawa in a 10-minute closed-workout in the bullpen.  Seems they were making some last minute checks on his right shoulder to see where he was.
