Hiroshima Carp: May 9, 2010

by on May.09, 2010 @ 10:57 am, under NPB

...The Carp banged out 17 hits and 11 runs on Saturday for a victory.  But that wasn't enough for Kenjiro Nomura.  "No matter how many runs we scored, there was no assurance of a win," complained Nomura.

Incidentally, it was the first time since 8/4/2008 that the Carp collected 17 or more hits in a game and the first time since 8/29/2009 that they scored double-digit runs.

...Kenta Kurihara recorded his 6th consecutive 2+ hit game on Saturday.  The last time he did that was back in 2007 (9/8 - 9/14).
