...Some basic information from Yuya Ando's Ni-gun start today: 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER.  Ando topped out at 141km/h and struck out three batters in a row in the third with a runner on first and no out.

...Sponichi has an article up that talks about how nice a pick-up Matt Murton has been for the Tigers this year (unlike foreigners from previous years).

...Yasutomo Kubo will likely start tomorrow's game against the Nippon Ham Fighters at Koshien Stadium.  Kubo is currently in a first place tie with former Chunichi Dragon Kenshin Kawakami for most Inter-league wins (14).

...Casey Fossum's next start will likely be on the 15th against the Rakuten Eagles.  Fossum knows Todd Linden from their days together on the New York Yankees.

...Yuya Ando was set to start a Ni-gun game against Orix today.  On Monday, Ando spent about 2 hours doing various exercises (played catch, ran sprints, etc.) in preparation for his start today.

...Kyuji Fujikawa made his third inning+ outing on Sunday (two games at 1.1 inning and one game at 1.2 innings).

...Craig Brazell hit homers in consecutive at bats on Sunday.  Brazell had the word "mom" on his right batting glove and his wife's name, Lanie, on his left batting glove.  He also wore pink sweatbands and a pink necklace for Mother's Day.

...Hanshin Railways and Koshien Stadium announced that they will be hosting a world food festival during Inter-league play (5/12 - 6/7), dubbed the World Delicious Cup (ワールドデリシャスカップ).  Eleven dishes from eleven countries will be available from 26 different shops at Koshien Stadium.
