...Hidenori Tanoue will likely be added to the active roster on Wednesday.

...Nobuhiro Matsuda was discharged from the hospital on Monday.  He was scheduled to continue his training (lower body) and rehab today at the Saitozaki indoor training facilities.

...Yusuke Kosai became the first player to homer in the recently renovated Nagoya Stadium on Tuesday.

...Nobuhiko Matsunaka could be ready to re-join the Ichi-gun roster as early at the 15th (for the Yakult Swallows series at Jingu Stadium).  Matsunaka is scheduled to start in left in every game of a three game series against Chunichi that began today.  Assuming everything is fine with his legs during these three games, Matsunaka could be added to the active roster for the Yakult series.  If not, he'll probably be added to the active roster for the Hanshin series at Yahoo Dome (18th).

...Roberto Petagine took some fielding practice, for the first since arriving in Japan, on Monday.  While he did bobble some grounders, he also made a nice between-the-legs toss during one play.  Petagine told reporters that he felt confident about his defense.

...Toru Takahashi was demoted to Ni-gun on Monday since he likely won't get many chances to pitch at Ichi-gun.

...Nagisa Arakaki tossed 6 shutout innings (3 H, 2 BB, 1 HBP, 2 SO) against Ni-gun Orix on Sunday.  It was his first start in two weeks.  He topped out at 146km/h and tossed a total 79 pitches.

...The Hawks have not been able to beat Kazuyuki Hoashi since September 2007 (a span of 8 starts).

...The Hawks drew their biggest crowd on Sunday: 35,140.  It also coincided with their High School Girl Day (女子高生デー) promotion: 100 yen pink uniforms for the first 3,000 high school girls to the stadium.

...The Hawks have uploaded a video of Koji Akiyama, Toshiya Sugiuchi, and Munenori Kawasaki talking about Inter-league play at the official team site.

...Treasure Publishing will be releasing a book on Sadaharu Oh on 7/3.  The book will include photos, reproductions of game tickets, and various other items from Oh's life.

...The Hawks are beginning a monthly program, called eco Day Clean-up (ecoデー清掃活動), where fans can volunteer some of their time to help clean up the areas around Yahoo Dome in exchange for a free ticket to a game specified by the club.
