...Sadaharu Oh took part in a charity movie screening for Bokutachi-no Play Ball (僕たちのプレイボール) on Sunday.  Shinjo was also at the event (he was the executive producer for the film).

...Toshiya Sugiuchi goes for his 6th consecutive Sunday victory today.

...Tsuyoshi Wada picked up his 14th Inter-league victory and the Softbank Hawks' 400th franchise victory (they became the Softbank Hawks in 2005).  It was also Wada's first game at Jingu Stadium since 5/8/2005.

...Hitoshi Tamura was in the starting line-up on Saturday despite hitting a foul ball off his left foot on Thursday.  There was talk that he might have to sit out, but it seems he pushed his way back into the starting line-up.  Tamura told reporters that he didn't want to show the opposition any weaknesses.

...Tadaatsu Nakazawa was promoted to the active roster on Saturday.  His Ni-gun numbers so far this season:

G PA AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI SB CS SH SF BB IBB HBP SO GIDP AVG SLG OBP
30 92 84 13 29 8 0 2 43 7 7 3 0 1 7 0 0 8 2 .345 .512 .391

...It seems Sadaharu Oh might be one responsible for drawing the picks during ties at the 2010 draft.  The last time Oh took part in the draft was when he managed to draw the rights to Shota Oba in 2007.  Koji Akiyama took part in a drawing for Taishi Ota in 2008 but failed to get the winning ticket, losing out to the Yomiuri Giants.
