by on May.18, 2010 @ 12:19 pm, under NPB

...Keiji Uezono will likely start tomorrow's game against the Softbank Hawks.  Yasutomo Kubo will probably start today's game.

...Kenji Jojima could become the 6th player to hit home runs against 13 different teams if he hits one out against his former team, the Softbank Hawks, during Inter-league play.

...Tomoaki Kanemoto will be returning to the starting line-up now that the DH-rule is in effect.  He took 48 swings during BP on Monday.  He also took three grounders at first, took some fielding practice out in left, threw a little in the bullpen, and took practice swings.  All told, about 50 minutes of intensive practice.

...Craig Brazell will try to extend his home run streak to 4 consecutive games.

...Trainer Tatsuzo Tsunekawa told reporters on Monday that Kyuji Fujikawa recovered from his fever and should be ready to play against the Softbank Hawks.

...Pitching coach Yasuo Kubo spent time working with Jason Standridge on Monday (watched video footage together before practice and then watched over him while playing catch).  Seems the Tigers may be giving Standridge one more start.

...Yuya Ando goes for his second Ni-gun start (vs Hiroshima) today.  He tossed four shutout innings during his first Ni-gun start on the 11th.
