...Tetsuya Matsumoto started in right and batted second during his Ni-gun game earlier today.  He finished his day 1-for-3.  Matsumoto told reporters that he was relieved to get his first game out of the way.

...Seems Yoshiyuki Kamei could be joining the Ichi-gun roster tomorrow.

...The Giants committed five errors in last night's game against the Nippon Ham Fighters.  That's a first since 9/28/1981Hayato Sakamoto committed two of the five errors and now leads both leagues with 11 (he's actually the only play in both leagues to have double-digit errors).

...The Giants have lost their last five regular season games at Sapporo Dome (since 6/12/2008).

...Tetsuya Matsumoto is scheduled to play in a Ni-gun game against Shonan today.  It will be his first game since 4/25 when he injured his left hamstring.  The club is hoping he'll be healthy enough to play both today and tomorrow.

...Michihiro Ogasawara is one homer away from 350.  He's also one home run against the Nippon Ham Fighters away from becoming the 6th player in NPB history to hit a home run against 13 different NPB clubs (the current 12 plus Kintetsu).

...Taishi Ota started his first Ni-gun game at first base yesterday (the last time he played first in a game was back when he was in middle school).  He didn't seem to have any problems on the field and handled his chances accordingly.

...Giabbit and Team Venus (Giants' cheer-leading squad) were at Sapporo Dome on Tuesday. Giabbit will be at the dome again tonight (not sure about Team Venus).
