Rakuten Eagles have apparently signed Randy Ruiz

The Eagles held a press conference for Ruiz earlier today. He was also assigned the number 42.

Ruiz arrived in Sendai on the 22nd. Ruiz is still in the process of getting his visa and will only be in Japan for about 10 days. He will join the team when he returns to Japan the next time he returns.

According to a report by Nikkan Sports, Ruiz will likely join the team sometime between the end of this month and early next month. It's all dependent on when he's able to obtain his visa.

The Rakuten Eagles have apparently signed 32-year-old infielder Randy Ruiz to a one year deal worth 45M yen. No word on what his uniform number will be, or when he'll be joining the team.
