...Takashi Ogino was taken off the active roster today after he injured his right knee while trying to steal a base against the Yakult Swallows on Friday.

...The Marines offense exploded for 20 runs on 22 hits against the Yakult Swallows on Saturday.  Every player in the starting line-up had at least one hit and one run scored.  But most impressive is perhaps the game Tsuyoshi Nishioka had.

  • Reached base in all six of his trips to the plate
  • Finished 5-for-5 with 5 runs scored and 3 RBI.  The 5 runs tied a franchise record for most runs in a game (last set by Hiromitsu Ochiai in 1983).  It also marked the second time Nishioka collected 5 hits in one game (the first time he did was on 4/23/2005 against the Rakuten Eagles)
  • Collected a hit in four consecutive innings (from the first through the fourth innings)
  • Nishioka also extended his hitting streak to 17 games
