...Aarom Baldiris may have hit a home run in Satuday's game against the Hanshin Tigers, but he apparently did it at the cost of missing a take sign.  With the count 3-0 in the 6th inning and 2 out, Baldiris was given the take sign, but instead swung away, connecting for his third homer of the season.

After the game, Akinobu Okada explained to reporters that he had given Baldiris the take sign because he already had Takeshi Hidaka waiting in the on-deck circle (pinch-hitting for Fumihiro Suzuki).  Okada then casually added Baldiris should / would be fined.

...It seems Okada asked the umps why the rules for submitting game day rosters was different for CL and PL teams during Inter-league play.  During the regular season, the CL usually submits their game day rosters along with their starting line-ups; the PL usually an hour before game time.  It would seem that during Inter-league play both teams would submit their game day rosters under the same rules, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  And it means CL teams get to submit their game day rosters after the PL teams submit theirs (about a 15-minute window).
