...Toshiya Sugiuchi start against the Yokohama Bay Stars was rained out today.  Koji Akiyama would not confirm queries as to whether or not Sugiuchi would be starting tomorrow.

...Tsuyoshi Wada picked up his 15th Inter-league victory of his career on Saturday.  That's good for first on the All-time list for most Inter-league wins (there are four pitchers with 14 wins).

...Yuichi Honda stole three bases on Saturday for just the second time in his career (the first time was on 9/3/2009 vs Orix).  Honda has a total 23 stolen bases this year, good for second in the PL behind Takashi Ogino's (LOT) 25.

...Jose Ortiz knocked out his league-leading 15th homer on Saturday.

...Nagisa Arakaki was scheduled to start a Ni-gun against Chunichi today but that was canceled after he complained of lower back pains.  This is coming on the heals of him skipping his last Ni-gun start on the 15th against Hanshin due to right shoulder tightness.  No word when his next Ni-gun start will be.

Arakaki is trying to work his way back from right shoulder inflammation (arthritis).
