...Shinji Takahashi has hit safely in 11 straight games -- that's 15-for-41 (.366) with 2 R, 1 HR, and 7 RBI.

...Masataka Nashida's comment after two consecutive games were canceled due to rain:

"At worst, is there a chance for a double header?  I wonder what's going to happen."

The last double-headers in the NPB: for the CL, 10/10/1998 between the Yokohama Bay Stars and Chunichi Dragons; and for the PL, 10/9/1998 between the Seibu Lions and Orix Blue Wave.

What would have to happen in order for there to be a double header?  Both games against the Chunichi Dragons on the 26th and 27th would have to get rained out.  That would leave two more games against the Yokohama Bay Stars in outdoor stadiums.  If those two games also get rained out, a double header would likely have to be scheduled.
