Hiroshima Carp: May 29, 2010

by on May.29, 2010 @ 4:31 pm, under NPB

...Takahiro Aoki and Eric Stults will likely be starting today and tomorrow against the Rakuten Eagles.

...Things may be looking brighter for the Carp rotation: Kan Otake will likely rejoin the rotation shortly and the club is also planning to give Dioni Soriano a "test" start at some point during Inter-league play.  And both Yuki Saito and Giancarlo Alvarado are making progress at Ni-gun.  For the first time in a while, the Carp may have all their starting pitching pieces in place.

...It seems there is no ETA on when Mike Schultz will return when he leaves on the 30th in order to get his back checked out in the States.  Schultz's timetable will likely be set once doctors in the US have a chance to figure out what's wrong with him.

Incidentally, it seems Schultz approached the club about returning to the US to get checked on after two hospital visits in Japan didn't do much good.
