Games from the 31st:

Angels 7 - Royals 1
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fifth.  He went 0-for-5: ground out to first, ground out to first, strikeout swinging, strikeout swinging, fly out to short.

Twins 5 - Mariners 4
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 1-for-4: ground out to second, ground out to short, infield single, ground out to second.

Pirates 2 - Cubs 1
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted first.  He went 1-for-3: strikeout swinging, infield single, walk, fly out to left.

Pirates 2 - Cubs 1
Akinori Iwamura entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the 8th and grounded out to first.  He did not take the field after that.

Iwamura lost his spot as the starting second baseman after he struggled at the plate in May.

"It can't be helped," said Iwamura.  "I couldn't put up the numbers in the two months I had.  I'm upset at myself.  Based on my current numbers, I can't really complain.  Kazuo Matsui was released, so I'm feeling that's a possibility for me too.  I don't want to be replaced at the age of 31 yet.  I'll get passed this.  I need to switch gears.  If I don't do my job, I won't be able to win my job back.  If I want them to use me, I need to put up the numbers."

Padres 18 - Mets 6
Hisanori Takahashi started the game and allowed 6 runs over 4 innings of work.  Takahashi dropped his second game of the year and is now 4-2.  Final line: 4.0 IP, 20 BF, 8 H, 1 SO, 2 BB, 6 R, 6 ER.

Ryota Igarashi entered the game in the 6th with the Mets down, 10-6, and lasted a third of an inning while giving up 6 runs.  Final line: 0.1 IP, 7 BF, 4 H, 0 SO, 2 BB, 6 R, 6 ER.

Kazuo Matsui started at second and batted first in a triple-A game against the Portland Beavers on the 31st.  He went 0-for-6 with 1 runs scored and a strikeout.
