...The Giants begin their Ganbare Miyazaki (がんばれ宮崎!) drive tomorrow.  That includes putting the practice uniforms they'll wearing over the next three days (with autographs) up for auction with proceeds going to the relief effort in Miyazaki.

...Seth Greisinger played catch at a distance of about 40 meters today at Giants Stadium.  Said Greisinger, "There's no pain.  If possible, I'd like to try and face some live bats in about 2 weeks or so."

...The Giants rewarded Ikusei pitcher Chih-Lung Huang to a regular contact worth 4.4M yen with a 10M yen signing bonus.  He was also assigned the number 97.

Depending on the needs of the parent club, the Giants could add Huang to the active roster over the next 2-3 days.

...Tetsuya Matsumoto spent time in the batting cages (over 100 pitches) at Giants Stadium today.  No word on when the Giants expect him back.

...Hisayoshi Chono went 0-for-15 (including 3 strikeouts) against the Chiba Lotte Marines this year.  He's also hitless over his last 12 trips to the plate (5 strikeouts).

...Dicky Gonzalez had his second straight 6 earned run outing in a row.  That's 12 earned runs over 7.1 innings of work (17 H, 1 HR, 6 SO).
