Angels 7 - Mariners 1
Hideki Matsui started in left and batted fifth.  He went 3-for-3: 2-run homer, RBI infield single, walk, single to center.  Matsui was replaced by a pinch-runner after his single in the 8th inning.

Matsui has reached base in 10 straight trips to the plate.  This was also his fourth straight multi-hit game.

Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 3-for-4: single to center, infield single, RBI single to center, ground out to second.  Ichiro is still one run away from 1,000.

Ichiro recorded his 27th multi-hit game this season and has hit safely in 8 straight games.

Astros 3 - Cubs 1
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted fifth.  He went 0-for-4: strikeout looking, ground out to third, fly out to center, ground out to second.

Giants 6 - Pirates 4
Akinori Iwamura entered the game in the 7th as a pinch-hitter and walked.  He did not return to the game after the inning.

Dodgers 5 - Braves 4
Kenshin Kawakami started the game and took the loss, dropping to 0-8 on the year.  Final line: 6.1 IP, 31 BF, 9 H, 4 SO, 3 BB (2 IBB), 5 R, 5 ER.


Kazuo Matsui started at second and batted first against the triple-A Reno Aces on the 4th.  He went 1-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and a strikeout.
