by on Jun.05, 2010 @ 12:29 pm, under NPB

...Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi became the oldest pitcher in franchise history to collect a win at 42.  Seems he's also the 9th pitcher in NPB history to record a win at the age of 42.  Shimoyanagi also required only 79 pitches through the 7 innings he worked.

...Keiichi Hirano recorded his 6th 3+ hit game last night.

...The Tigers are in the middle of a 14-game winning streak when Takahiro Arai drives in a run.

...Kazuhito Futagami gave up 2 runs on 3 hits during an inning of relief at a Ni-gun practice game yesterday.  Futagami topped out at 142km/h and also worked in his slider.  His next appearance will either come on the 12th or the 13th.
