Swallows acquire Josh Whitesell

...The latest update from Sanspo mentions that the earliest Whitesell could be ready is 6/25 (vs Hanshin Tigers).

The Yakult Swallows have acquired 28-year-old infielder, Josh Whitesell. The contract will run through to the end of the season and is worth 30M yen. Whitesell has been assigned the number 53 and will be arriving in Japan on the 9th.
It seems Whitesell will battle it out with D'Antona for the starting first base position.
