The director of the Aichi Gakuin University baseball team has decided to step down from his post, effective the 18th.

Aichi Gakuin University is reporting that the director of their baseball team withdrew a total 7.5M yen from team funding between 2007 and 2009 and failed to report how the money was used.  The director has thus far denied any knowledge of what happened to the money.

According to the University, there were no receipts explaining how 7.5M yen in funds were used between 2007 and 2009 (1.95M yen in 2007, 2.97M in 2008, and 2.61M in 2009).

Each month, the University collects 62,000 yen from each of their 60 players to cover dorm and food expenses.  This month is placed in an account that the director has control over and disperses when needed.
