Hiroshima Carp: June 11, 2010

...Kenta Kurihara was diagnosed with a fracture in his right ulna (右尺骨茎状突起骨折) earlier today.  Kurihara was hit by a pitch in his right arm in the first inning of last night's game against the Chiba Lotte Marines.  The Carp and Kurihara obviously didn't think it serious as he ended up staying in the game and playing until his at bat in the 9th (they sent in a pinch-hitter for him).

According to Carp chief trainer Masaya Ishii, Kurihara will likely be out for at least four weeks, not including rehab time.
