Games from the 19th:

Mariners 5 - Reds 1
Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted first.  He went 2-for-4: fly out to left, solo homer (3), single to center, line out to short.

Red Sox 5 - Dodgers 4
Hideki Okajima entered the game with 2 outs in the 7th and the score tied at 4-4.  Final line: 1.1 IP, 4 BF, 0 H, 1 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.

Angels 12 - Cubs 0
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted fourth.  He went 0-for-4: ground out to second, ground out to second, fly out to right, fly out to left.

Yankees 5 - Mets 3
Ryota Igarashi entered the game in the 8th (with the Mets down 5-3) and tossed a shutout inning in relief.  Final line: 1 IP, 5 BF, 1 H, 1 SO, 1 BB, 0 R, 0 ER.

Igarashi was also quoted as saying that while he was impressed with the atmosphere at Yankee Stadium, he felt it couldn't beat Koshien Stadium.

Kazuo Matsui went 1-for-4 with a strikeout and a GIDP against the triple-A Las Vegas 51s on the 19th.  He started at second and batted second.

Sponichi also mentions that Matsui might have a chance to make the MLB roster with the injury to Troy Tulowitzki (broken wrist, 6-8 weeks).

It seems Daisuke Matsuzaka has been given the green light to pitch on the 24th against the Rockies.  On the 19th, Matsuzaka also tossed a 3 inning simulated game against three batters from an Independent League team.  He faced 14 batters and threw a total 47 pitches and struck out 3.
